I would love to qualify for Boston and just continue to get faster

Personal:

I am married and have 2 kids, they keep me smiling and definitely keep me busy. I began to have a passion for running because it keeps me healthy mentally and physically. Sometimes you just need to take a break and go for a run:) I want to push myself, I haven't had much experience with road races and I would love to get stronger and faster. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Great run while down in Kanab. 8:40 pace and I felt great. loved the weather there!

Ran outside and it was a good change, a little windy heading west but felt great going back home. I ran 8:19 pace my legs felt good too. Loving that the weather is getting better:)

Treadmill run 8:10 pace 6 miles is getting easy for me mentally and physically.

Another treadmill run, and mentally and physically I struggled my legs felt so heavy and I decided I need to be done with the treadmill, no matter how cold it is outside! Went to a hill and ran 2x8sec sprints

Ran outside and felt good, the wind was blowing and mentally I always struggle with that. I ran 9 min mile pace. I am hoping I can build my endurance and then be able to speed up! As I'm logging this my legs feel really tight and my hips are achy, I don't want to over do it, and get an injury. Even going slow I still feel like 7 miles is a lot, hope to break through my mental weaknesses.

Ran 7 on the treadmill because I didn't want to run in the wind. Ran about an hour and a half after eating cafe rio, I felt good the first 5 1/2 miles other than a heavy stomach, and then I got a bad side ache and could hardly breathe but finished out my run. I will remember not to run after eating! 8:19 pace.

Beautiful, perfect day for running outside! Weather was perfect. I felt pretty good but ran about 8:30 pace. I am starting to get a little frustrated that my easy runs aren't getting faster. I don't know if this is a big deal at this point in training but I wish my easy runs were more in the 8:00 pace range. I will try to be more consistent about trying to get in this range with my next runs.

Got my new shoes and love them! They have tons of support and felt good. Ran on the treadmill tonight because it was late. I felt good and pushed myself good at the end, running 6:30 pace.

Progression run 8:22 pace. Felt really good longest I've run in a couple years. Legs felt great and last ten mins ran 7:30-8:00 min pace. Beautiful day loved my new shoes but did get a blister:( overall felt great about running 8:)

5 miles on the treadmill and it was a miserable run. I wish I would remember how bad it sucks to run after eating dinner.

Perfect running weather. Just went at an easy pace, last 1.5 miles my IT band really started bothering me, I had to stop and stretch it with a mile to go. I am hoping I am not going to have to stop running because of it again. I need to really focus on getting my hill sprints in.

Easy 9 mile progression run. Started with Tara and Tavi and finished 5.5 by myself. IT band bothered me some, so I stopped and stretched and it felt ok after.
